Fans of BioWare’s Dragon Age series have no-doubt been
eagerly awaiting the upcoming release of Dragon
Age: Inquisition, the third game in the series that follows the
highly-praised Dragon Age: Origins and
its mediocre sequel Dragon Age II. Part
of the Dragon Age series’ appeal lies in the first game’s call back to “proper”
RPG form with gameplay that focuses heavily on strategy and immersion. Another
part however, is the dedication BioWare shows in making the game’s fantasy world
of Thedas feel truly alive through both stunning visuals and engaging lore.
Llane Merciel’s new novel, Dragon Age:
Last Flight, manages to conjure the same vivid attention to detail that
first drew players in when Origins was
released back in 2009. While it doesn’t tie directly in with the events of Inquisition or any of the other Dragon
Age games, Last Flight is still a
must-read for any true fan of the series.
