(Preview) Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (PS3) Review
Much like Angry Birds before it, the zany Plants vs. Zombies series got its start on mobile platforms and from there has ballooned into a veritable mega-franchise that has now officially crossed over into the console and PC gaming space. Developer PopCap’s multiplayer-focused shooter Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare initially released on Xbox platforms back in February and later on PC this past June. Now the title has completed its trifecta circuit with Sony’s PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. These new PlayStation versions contain all of the content from the Xbox and PC versions as well as a few bits and ends you’ll only find on Sony’s platforms. But are the new additions enough to make the PlayStation port of Garden Warfare a worthy investment? Or has PopCap’s plant-themed shooter overstayed its welcome?

What I Want To See In A New Mass Effect Game
It shames me to admit that, when it was first released back
in 2007, I had zero interest in Bioware’s new sci-fi shooter/RPG called Mass
Effect. It was mostly because I was still on a bit of a Star Wars high, having
recently finished both Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and its sequel
The Sith Lords, so anything from Bioware that wasn’t Star Wars just didn’t
pique my interest.
It wasn’t until roughly a year after Mass Effect’s release
when, one late night, I was browsing the Xbox Live marketplace for something
new to play when my cursor paused on Mass Effect’s icon. By then it was
relatively cheap and I was bored and desperate for something new to play so I
shrugged, whipped out my wallet, and soon I was immersed in what would later
become one of my favorite game series of all time.

Top Five FPS Villains
While it’s true that FPS fans rarely need more incentive to line up
their crosshairs and pull the trigger other than the game telling them
“these are the bad guys, shoot them”, it cannot be denied that finally
getting to take down the henchmen’s ringleader brings with it a special
sort of satisfaction.

Video Game Review: Dead Island; A Zombie-FilledTale of Trouble in Paradise
Before I begin this review I want to start off saying I am a big zombie-game fan. I’ve played through almost every Resident Evil game out there, spent more hours then I care to admit conquering Left 4 Dead and L4D2 along with friends up at college, and I’ve sunk a healthy amount of my life into taking down the walking dead in Call of Duty's zombie mode so when it was announced that a zombie game featuring a lush tropical setting, customizable weapons, and rpg elements was on the way, naturally I was more then a little excited.

Video Game Review: Red Dead Redemption; Being a Cowboy Never Felt So Good
If you were to say the words “Rockstar Games” around most gamers their thoughts would most likely jump to the Grand Theft Auto series since that is what Rockstar Games is best known for. However, in 2010, Rockstar Games decided to take their popular GTA formula and use it to revive a dormant niche in video games: the western. Hailing as a spiritual successor to their 2004 cult hit Red Dead Revolver, Rockstar Games released Red Dead Redemption and it quickly became a new, and redefining, hit in the Rockstar Games lineup.
